Apocalypse Summary:

> After an attack on the Institute, Jon and Martin have temporarily escaped to Scotland, hiding out in a shed belonging to Daisy. Daisy is missing after the attack, but Basira remains their contact in London and sends them stuff.

> Jon gets tricked into reading a false statement from Elias, who is aware that Jon literally can't stop reading one once he has started. Said statement contains the incantation to summon all 13 powers into the world at the same time under the rule of the Eye. Key to do so is that Jon has been marked by every single one of the Fears and Jon has received the final mark during the attack on the Institute when he went willingly into the Lonely to confront Peter Lukas and rescue Martin.

> Yes, all his physical and mental scars are these marks. He is less of an Archivist, but more of an Archive himself.

> The ritual is a success and Jon's Earth gets reformed into a patchwork landscape of different hellscapes, each representing different aspects of the different fears with a large tower visible in the distance from literally anywhere in the world.

> Nothing is it should be in this apocalypse. Time doesn't work anymore, as do any of the rules and laws the various sciences have taught you. People haven't died. In fact, they can't die (with the exception of people trapped in domains of the End, which literally requires people to die). Every person is trapped in one of those hellscapes, requiring neither food nor rest but doomed to relive their worst fears over and over and over again just so the Eye can watch.

> The Eye is happy and provides Jon with a constant livestream of all the pain and suffering going on and he is having a great time.

> Jon and Martin decide to go on their happy hike from Scotland to London to confront Elias/put an end to the apocalypse.

> They spend some great time traversing all these hellscapes, seeing traumatized people, smiting a bunch of avatars and basically being tourists in this apocalypse Jon created where nothing can harm them and Jon can decide who gets to suffer and who gets to torment. He's quite literally the god of this place. Great time.

> At one point we learn that this apocalypse is by no means eternal since people still die in the domains dedicated to the End. No new people are born, but people are dying, so eventually there WILL be an end as the End would slowly claim people from other domains and once no people are left it will claim the other Fears. So- That's a thing.

> They reach London. It's full of eyes. Literally. Those cameras watching you are made of eyeballs.

> They lack to find a way into the tower, but they meet some old friends who are hiding down in the tunnels! The Eye's power is weakened down there, so Jon isn't doing amazing, but that's fine.

> Through the tunnels they find a way into the tower and up to Elias, where it gets pretty much clear that they can't just kill Elias to fix this since the Eye will simply put someone else in his place. And that's also exactly what it wants. It doesn't want Elias, who is overwhelmed with its power and is.... He is there. Rambling on without really seeing what's happening right before him.

> SHOCKER! The Eye wants Jon, it's Archive, to hold and direct its power. Which isn't something the Eye can do on its own.

> Jon is up to it, believing he can control the power and maybe use it to may the apocalypse fairer. Martin is very much against it and there's a fight.

> Jon goes to mope and have a... chat with the Eye while Martin gets kidnapped by Anabelle Cane, avatar of the Web.

> Martin rescue turns out to be more... Well. Annabelle wants to lure Jon to Hilltop Road, which is where a rift in reality has been sitting for ages, guarded by the Spider and part of her plot to escape the World. Turns out the Fears are all part of what once used to be one being that over the millennia fragmented into different parts. The Spider is the only part that can actually think and plan ahead and it has been plotting its escape since literally forever. But since the Fears are one being, they can't be split. They have to leave together. And so a massive web has been spun in that rift of reality with all those tapes Jon has recorded, using his voice to bind the Fears to them. When Elias gets killed and the tower destroyed, the web pulls all the Fears through that rift and into another world.

> Annabelle also informs Jon that the Web has been guiding him his entire life. Marking him early and manipulating him up to this very point. That spider web lighter of his? A present to light a needlessly large gas main under the tower and blow it up.

> Jon is NOT happy to learn his entire life has been a setup. He wants to deny the Spider her victory and instead take the Eye's power, accelerate the apocalypse and sacrifice his world and everyone in it to starve the Fears rather than sending them out into other worlds. His friends overrule him.

> Jon is VERY unhappy about this decision. [ insert novel with his reasonings and feelings here ]

> He goes ahead, stabs Elias, absorbs the Eye's power and that's when Martin shows up. Friends light the gas main at that very moment and Jon has little other choice than to get stabbed in hopes that it works out.

> He will never know if it did.
